Mediterranean Steak and Yogurt Sauce

I love ethnic flavors.  This recipe allows you to use a less expensive cut of meat because the marinade will tenderize it for you.  Enjoy with a nice lettuce wrap for some crunch.

Mediterranean Steak

4 less expensive cuts of steak like round or sirloin (boneless)
1/4 cup pure balsamic vinegar (make sure there is no added sugar)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp dried crushed rosemary
4 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper

Mix the ingredients together and place in a zip lock bag.  Squeeze all the air out and let marinade in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.  Cook on the grill.

Yogurt Sauce (also called tzatziki)

1/4 cup homemade yogurt
1/4 cup homemade creme fraiche
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup cucumber seeded and chopped into small pieces
1 green onion sliced into small pieces
1 tsp lemon juice

Mix ingredients together.  Eat immediately or store in the fridge until needed.
