Chived Turkey Burgers

I can get in a rut with my summer foods, so today I tried to spice up our everyday burger by filling it with shredded cheese and lots of fresh chives from my garden.  Because it was raining, I ended up having to cook them on the stove, but it made a really great crunchy outside as the cheese fried in the pan.  Give it a try.

Chived Turkey Burgers

1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
1/2 cup freshly graded cheese (I used Amish yogurt cheese)
1 tsp salt
graded black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder

Mix ingredients together and divide into patties.  Cook on the stove in a non-stick pan or grill.
