Crock-Pot Pork Roast or Pulled Pork

Sundays are busy days at our house, and I need something that will cook while we're gone at church.  So here is a pork roast recipe that you can eat like a roast or shred and have as pulled pork with BBQ sauce.  I served ours with a side of broccoli and peaches.

Crock-Pot Pork Roast or Pulled Pork

1 - 3lb Boston Shoulder Pork Roast
2 large onions cut into large chunks
5 cloves minced garlic
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp paprika

Layer the bottom of the crock-pot with the large chunks of onion.  Rest of the roast on top of the onion layer fat side up so the juices flow into the meat.  Mix together the spices and rub them on the meat.  Cover and cook on high for 5-6 hours.

Let cool and serve in chunks or shred mixing the meat with the juice on the bottom of the crock pot(that's where the flavors at) and serve with BBQ sauce.
